34 Saving to a Memory Card
Saving to a Memory Card
You can save scans of photos or documents to your
memory card in JPEG or PDF format directly. You
can also scan to your computer instead of a memory
card (see the instructions in your on-screen User’s
Guide).
Scanning a Photo /
Document
1. Insert a memory card (& page 19).
2. Place your photo or document on the document
table (& “Placing Originals on the Document
Table” on page 11).
3. Press the s [Memory Card] mode button.
4. Use the l or r button to select Scan to Memory
Card, then press OK.
5. Use the u, d, l, and r buttons to select the
following options:
6. Press OK. The photo is scanned and saved to the
EPSCAN folder on your memory card.
When scanning is finished, you see a
confirmation screen. Note the name given to
your image and its location on the card.
c Caution:
❏ Never open the scanner unit while scanning; otherwise, you
may damage the product.
❏ Do not remove the card or turn off the product while the
memory card light is flashing, or you may lose data.
Note:
If the edges of the scan are cropped off, move the photo away from
the corner slightly.

Setting Description
Format Select JPG or PDF.
Scan Area If the edges of the photo are light in
color, select Max Area. Otherwise,
select Auto Crop.
Original Select the type of original you placed
on the document table.
Quality Select the quality of the scanned
documents.
