Playback Information
Playback pitch adjustment (Pitch control)
The playback speed can be adjusted within a range of –16 % to +16
%.
By adjusting the pitch, you can listen to recordings over a shorter time
span, or listen more slowly.

Press PITCH while holding down SHIFT during
playback or when stopped.
A pop up is displayed and the pitch adjustment is enabled.

Press PITCH + or PITCH – while holding down
SHIFT.
•The pitch changes by 0.1 % each time the button is pressed.
•Press and hold the button to change the pitch continuously.
•To cancel the pitch control, press PITCH again while holding down
the SHIFT button.
n Changing the playback speed without changing
the musical interval
(Master Key)
When the playback speed is adjusted using the pitch control, the
musical interval changes according to the playback speed. With the
Master Key function on, you can play back music without changing
the musical interval even when you change the pitch.
•The Master Key setting is performed in“Master Key”
(vpage17) in the preset menu.
•If “Master Key” in the menu is set to “On”, the master key mark
appears in the display when the pitch is adjusted.

Select whether to playback one track or to playback continuously.
Press SINGLE/CONT. during playback or while stopped.
The icon on the screen changes.
CNT: Continuous playback

Rotate the jog dial to select a track number.
In 1 second, playback moves to the selected track.
•To select a number from the 10th and subsequent tracks, select
the first digit -> press the jog dial -> select the second digit.
GOperations on the remote controlH
While stopped, press the number buttons on the remote control (
0
to 9) to jump directly to the track you want to hear.
To select the 10th and subsequent tracks, push the number buttons
in the order of 10 digit -> 1 digit.
E.g. Playing back track 12

Changing the output level
Changes the output level of both analog and digital outputs.

Hold down the SHIFT button and rotate the jog dial.

Press the VOL + orbutton.
Rewind a specified amount of time and
playback (Skip back)
The track is rewound for the set amount of time from the current
playback position during playback or pause from an operation on an
external remote (parallel, RS-232C).
The skip back time setting is set in “Skip Back” in the “Preset
Settings” (vpage16).

When the parallel input normal mode is set, press the
skip back switch on the connected device.
