Getting started Thank you for purchasing this DENON product. To ensure proper operation, please read this owner’s manual carefully before using the product. After reading the manual, be sure to keep it for future reference. Main features • Stereo (2 channel) or monaural (1 channel) recording and playback • Recording to various SD cards. • 2 Types of recording format – Recording using MP3 (MPEG1 Layer III) audio compression format. – Recording using 16-bit Linear PCM format (uncompressed audio).

Attach the included rack mounting brackets to the DN-F450R. Then it can be mounted in an EIA 19-inch rack. 1. Remove two screws on the side panel of the DN-F450R. 2. Attach the rack mounting bracket to the DN-F450R with the included two screws.

DN-F450R is equipped with various recording and playback settings so that you can use wide-ranging applications to record and play back. DN-F450R also allows you to program up to three preset settings.
Setting defaults Setting Items LevelCont Select the adjustment method for the recording level. Level LED Sets the input/output level for the Level display lit on the main unit. Auto Track Creates a new file for each recording time set and continues recording. Auto Mark When input lower than the input level set in “10 Silent Level” continues for more than 3 seconds, marking information is written into the file. This mark is useful when searching for a specific point during playback.

Checking the firmware version (F.W Version) Setting Items “DN-F450Rpreset.txt”, which is located in the root directory in the media, is loaded. nn Operation q Rotate the jog dial to select “Save Settings”, and press the jog dial. • “Save?” is displayed. w Rotate the jog dial to select “Yes”, and press the jog dial. • The preset setting data starts being saved. • When the save process is complete, “Completed” is displayed, and the DN-F450R returns to the stopped state.
Recording This section explains how to specify a SD card folder for a recording file and to record into that folder. GMain functionsH • Playback, copy, divide, combine, and delete files • Move, add, and delete marks Do not remove mounted SD card from the DN-F450R while it is connected to the computer. Doing so may cause the data on the SD card to become corrupt, and may damage the SD card.

Therefore, you can use this feature to smoothly perform tasks for transcribing audio to letters and text for dictations and tape transcriptions.

Each packet of a control command begins with the Start Character ‘@’and ends with the End Character “0x0D” as shown below.
