n Participating in the party mode as an attendee
•When the organizer starts the party mode, up to four attendees
are selected automatically. No operation is required.
•When a device becomes an attendee, “Party Mode Attendee”
appears on the display. The input source automatically switches
to “Music Server” and the same network audio as on the
organizer is played.
•If there are fewer than four attendees, a device can join the
party mode after it has started. To participate in the party mode,
perform the operation described below.

Press [PARTY MODE].
“Party Mode” menu appears.

Use ui to select “Start Party”, then press [ENTER],

•“No Network Connection” is displayed when you are not
connected to a network.
Selecting tracks from attendees
When the party mode starts, “Party Mode Attendee” appears on the
attendee’s display, after which the organizer’s playback information
appears.

Setting the network [Network]

Press [PARTY MODE].
“Party Mode” menu appears.

Use ui to select “Stop Party”, then press [ENTER],

“Exit Party Mode?” is displayed.

Use ui to select “Yes”, then press [ENTER],

In this case, the other devices remain in the party mode.
•“Last.fm”, “Napster” and “USB” are not available in the Party
Mode.
•There can only be one organizer in the network. To form a new party
mode, first cancel the current party mode.
Other network settings
n Network Standby
Set the network function On/Off during standby.

Press [MENU].
Turns on the Menu settings mode and the Menu appears on
the display (vpage20 “Menu map”).

Use ui to select “Network” – “Other Network” –
“Network Standby”, then press [ENTER],
<1/3 ENTER> or p.
“Network Standby” menu appears.

Use ui to “Network On”, then press [ENTER],
<1/3
ENTER
> or p.
Network On
Network is on during standby. Main unit operable with
a network compatible controller. Shortens the time
before the network connection is completed.
•When “Network Standby” is set to “Network On”,
the power display lights orange.
•More power is consumed when in standby (Power
consumption: 7.5 W).
Network Off
Suspend network function during standby. It will take
slightly longer till the network connection is completed.
•The minimum amount of power is consumed when
in standby (Power consumption: 0.2 W).
•This is the default setting.

Press [MENU].
The display returns to normal.
