ENGLISH 3 CAUTIONS ON HANDLING DISCS Discs Cautions on Handling Discs Only the discs including the marks shown on page 7 can be played on the DVD-2800. Note, however, that discs with special shapes (heart-shaped discs, hexagonal discs, etc.) cannot be played on the DVD-2800. Do not attempt to play such discs, as they may damage the player. Holding Discs • Do not get fingerprints, grease or dirt on discs. • Be especially careful not to scratch discs when removing them from their cases.

ENGLISH 14 MP3 PLAYBACK Listening to MP3 CD, CD-Rs and CD-RWs 2 There are many music distribution sites on the internet from which music files in MP3 format can be downloaded. Music downloaded as instructed on the site and written onto a CD-R/RW disc can be played on the DVD-2800. If music recorded on commercially available music CDs is converted on a computer into MP3 files using an MP3 encoder (conversion software), the data on a 12 cm CD is reduced into about 1/10 the amount of the original data.

If the DVD-2800 does not seem to be functioning properly, check the table below. If this does not solve the problem, the DVD-2800 may be damaged. Para DVDs en los cuales los datos del flag (señal de identificación) se graban incorrectamente, puede disminuir la calidad de la imagen cuando se transmite la detección del flag. Este modo es efectivo en tales casos.

ESPAÑOL 18 SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Antes de pensar que el reproductor no funciona bien, vuelva a realizar las siguientes comprobaciones. 2 ¿Están todas las conexiones correctamente realizada? 2 ¿Está siguiendo las instrucciones del manual? 2 ¿Funcionan correctamente el amplificador y los altavoces? Si el DVD-2800 pareciera no estar funcionando correctamente, compruebe la tabla siguiente. Si esta operación no solucionara el problema, puede que el DVD-2800 tuviera alguna avería.
