2.04 CONTROLLER DIAGNOSTICS
A. The controller shall be non-proprietary and include the ability
to
perform diagnostic analysis
of
the system capable
of
determining faults. When a fault occurs, the computer shall be able
to
provide a retrievable fault code message identifying the location
of
the elevator, the time
of
day
of
the occurrence, and the number
of
times the fault has occurred. The fault information
for each car shall be identified on the video screen in the machine room, or be capable
of
send-
ing the fault information
to
a video screen in a remote location.
2.05 STATISTICAL DATA STORAGE
AND
RETRIEVAL
A. The controller shall be capable
of
storing and retrieving statistical data
to
permit analysis and
evaluation
of
the operating system response
to
traffic demand. Information
to
be stored shall
include statistics relating to average waiting times for each floor serviced by the multiple car
elevator bank, cars in service, frequency
of
car stops per car, activation
of
stop switches, etc.
during a series
of
normal workdays, and other pertinent information which may be requested
to
be provided. Software and hardware, including printers, necessary
to
retrieve and print the
data shall be provided to the Owner. Statistical information shall be presented in a user
friendly format and not require special training
to
interpret the data.
B.
A CRT display and terminal shall be provided in the elevator machine room
as
part
of
the ele-
vator controller for informational and diagnostic use
2.06
FIRE
COMMAND CENTER
AND
FIREFIGHTERS'
EMERGENCY
OPERATION
A.
Firefighters' Emergency Operation shall include Phase I and Phase
II
operation in accordance
with ANSI A17.l 2007 Elevator Code requirements and local governing Code requirements.
The new Fire Command Center shall be located on the first floor and adjacent
to
the existing
Fire Panel. Provide a new digital hoistway display with direction indicators. Provide a "Phone
Jack" and two position keyed switch in accordance with ANSI A17.l 2007 Elevator Safety
Code. Provide a Car to Lobby keyed switch for each elevator,
as
well
as
Automatic/Manual
Emergency Power sequencing switch
to
be activated later.
B.
Fireman Recall/Emergency key switches shall be located in the main Fireman access floor ele-
vator lobby and installed per the requirements
of
City/County
of
Denver Fire Department Re-
quirements.
C. All floor access restnctlOns and key operated switch
10ckOouts
shall be overridden on
Fire/Emergency operation.
D.
The elevator control system shall be tied in with the Fire Alarm system and tested with the Fire
Alarm system contractor.
E.
City/County
of
Denver local "60 Second Rule" for closure
of
the car/hoistway doors shall be
included,
if
the elevator hoistway/s are pressurized.
2.07
EMERGENCY
POWER OPERATION
A. Presently, emergency power provisions are not connected
to
the elevators. However, the eleva-
tor controls are to be designed to accommodate emergency power at a later date. In the event
of
a normal power supply failure, the elevator system shall be arranged
to
operate from a future
emergency power supply source and auxiliary contacts. The emergency power shall be avail-
able to all elevators in the system through the normal power feeders. The emergency power
