Introduction
The 3 position switch located above the HD
GENERATOR provides 3 different operating
modes :
• OFF/POL mode :
Selects the OFF mode, no energy is drawn
from the batteries. However, when connecting
the HD GENERATOR to a telephone line, the
leds will indicate if the line is powered and, in
this case, they will also check its polarity.
• CONTINUITY mode :
In this mode, the HD GENERATOR will indicate
the presence of shorts on the tested line.
• TONE GENERATOR mode :
In this mode, tones are generated by the unit.
When connected to an unpowered line, the
tones will provide an easy detection of the line
by the HD TRACER.
Indroduction
Le HD GENERATOR possède 3 positions :
• OFF/POL position arrêt :
cette position permet aussi de savoir s’il y a
une tension sur une ligne téléphonique et
quelle est sa polarité.
• Continuité :
cette position permet, sur une ligne non-
alimentée, de savoir s’il y a une coupure de la
ligne ou s’il y a un court-circuit.
• :
Envoi de signaux en mono ou en double
fréquences sur une ligne non-alimentée pour
permettre à celle ci d’être repérée par le HD
TRACER.
