Spread wood frame open and lift away from plastic-bagged stove body. The bottom pieces of pallet wood will remain bolted to the stove body.

Attach stove door by inserting step bolt through door hinge pivot hole and into threaded hole in stove body (see Figure 9, page 5 and Figure 12). Use an adjustable wrench or a 12mm socket to fasten step bolt. Tighten step bolt until snug. Make sure door moves freely. 11. Install door catch bolt (M8 x 1.25-55mm with two M8 hex nuts) into threaded hole on stove body (see Figure 9, page 5).

Use the screws and washers from step 4 of Stove Body Assembly on page 5. Carefully lift firebox and place into stove body from the rear of stove. It is also important to locate the base of the gas vent as near as possible to the heating appliance. • This heater must be properly connected to a venting system. This heater is equipped with a vent safety shutoff system. • Use only vents labeled "FOR EXTERIOR USE" above the roofline.

A chase is not required for such venting. NOTICE: Treatment of firestops and construction of the chase may vary from building type to building type. These instructions are not substitutes for the requirements of local building codes. You must follow all local building codes.
OWNER’S MANUAL VENTING INSTALLATION Continued HIGH ALTITUDE INSTALLATION Your Sun Valley B-vent freestanding fireplace heater has been AGA tested and approved for elevations from 0-2000 feet and CGA certified for elevations from 0-4500 feet. When installing this fireplace at an elevation above 2000 feet (in the USA), you may need to decrease the input rating by changing the existing burner orifice to a smaller size. Reduce input 4% for each 1000 feet above sea level.

Do not install this heater as your primary heat source. If you have a central heating system, you may run system’s circulating blower while using heater. This will help circulate the heat throughout the house. In the event of a power outage, you can use this heater as your primary heat source.

Disconnect wires from THTP and TH on control valve that lead to the switch (see Figure 34, page 15). Discard switch plate, screws, and nuts. Install battery into receiver battery clip and connect to terminals (see Figure 38).

Electrical shock and/or a fire hazard will occur. Light the fireplace as instructed in Lighting Instructions on page 18. Set wall thermostat to desired temperature. This thermostat has been electronically calibrated at the factory and requires no adjustment or leveling.
OWNER’S MANUAL CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE WARNING: Turn off fireplace and let cool before cleaning. CAUTION: You must keep control areas, burners, and circulating air passageways of fireplace clean. Inspect these areas of fireplace before each use. Have fireplace inspected yearly by a qualified service person. Fireplace may need more frequent cleaning due to excessive lint from carpeting, bedding material, pet hair, etc. GLASS DOOR WARNING: Handle glass door panel with care.
