Use and Care Manual

Wood Pergola Safety and Care Instructions
Instructions
Wash pergola with garden hose or mild detergent solution and
soft cloth. DO NOT use stiff or abrasive cleaner that could damage
pergola. DO NOT use cleaner such as bleach or ammonia.
Hot items, such as blowtorches, must not be used in or near the
pergola.
Heavy articles should not rest on the posts as this may cause
permanent damage.
Note: Our Pergola’s are shipped as an unnished product. If
exposed to the elements, the Western Red Cedar lumber will
weather to a silvery-gray color.
If you prefer to keep the cedar lumber looking closer to the original
color, we suggest that you treat the wood with a good oil based
wood stain. You may also wish to paint your new Pergola rather
than stain it. In both cases we recommend that you consult with a
paint and stain dealer in your area.
