Installation Instructions
Installation Tips:
• Plan and draw out your railing project, (to scale) with the actual measurements
of your deck or balcony with the location of the railings that need to be installed.
• It may be necessary to cut the rails to balance the sections properly. Always cut
equal lengths from each end of the rails so the spindles are well centered.
• If trimming a section is needed, be sure to remove the steel insert before cutting.
DO NOT cut the steel insert near the PVC plastic as the steel debris can cause
damage to the plastic.
• When steel reinforcement inserts are cut, you must apply an anti-rust primer to
the cut end to avoid corrosion.
1. Plan and measure for best results.
The maximum distance each railing
can cover is 72" from center post to
center post. Divide the total distance
(in inches) of the flight of stairs by 72
to see how many sections are required.
Ideally, all sections of railing should
be of the same length (See Fig 1.)
Rail sections can always be cut
shorter to a desired length.
2. Mark the locations of all center
posts. Then select a starting point
at either end of the railing.
4. Slide Vinyl Sleeve (A) over the post.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the next center
post in your layout.

3. Place the Iron Post (K) at your
starting location. Using a level,
ensure the post is plumb. Shim
with washers if needed. See

fastener selection. (See Fig 2.)
