Installation Instructions
8). Tile may be cut with a linoleum knife or a utility knife. To fit a partial tile, first place a
loose tile directly over the last whole tile (TILE “A”) closest to the wall, then butt
another tile (TILE “B”) against the wall overlapping the tile to be cut and draw line with
a pencil to cut (do not cut on floor, as you may cut through and damage new tiles).
(See Illustration #4.) Check to see if the fit is acceptable, then remove release paper
and set the tile into place.
9.) IMPORTANT: for best results, pressure roll the entire floor in both directions (90
degrees) within 30 minutes after installation using a floor roller.
10.) When you are done, install moldings over the tiles. When installing the moldings,
always fasten them to the wall, not to the tiles.
Grout Application
For un-grouted installations you are now finished. Please proceed to “Care and
Maintenance of your Floor.” For grouted installations, your floor can be grouted
immediately. Please note, however, that traditional cement grouts are not
recommended. In order to resist cracking, we recommend a colored premixed grout
with high flexibility strength and adhesion. Before beginning, remove all spacers from
between the tiles. The colored grout may then be worked into the grout lines a small
section at a time as specified by the grout manufacturer’s instructions on the Colored
Grout label. Important: the sooner the grout is removed from the surface of the tile
with clean water, the easier it is to clean up.
