UNPACKING
Before using your scale, make certain the scale has been received in good condition. When
removing the scale from its packing, inspect it for signs of damage, such as exterior dents
and scratches. Keep the carton and packing material for return shipment if it should become
necessary. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to file all claims for any damages or loss
incurred during transit.
POWER-UP INITIALIZATION
1. Turn the scale over and locate the removable panel on

he bottom of the scale.
2. Re
move the panel by pushing in on the tab and liftin
g
it
up to access to the battery holder.
3. Install the
included four (4) “AAA” size alkali
ne or
c
arbon zinc batteries, noting the polarity markin
gs
loca
ted in the battery holder.
4. Afte
r placing all four (4) batteries in the holder, replac
e
t
he panel.
5. P
lace the scale on a flat level surface, such as a des
k,
t
able or bench.
6. L
ightly press on the scale to turn it
on.
7.
The scale
display will show oooo, then change to a
moving o, and turn off. If not, remove the panel an
d
c
heck for one or more improperly positioned batteries.
8. Th
e scale has completed initialization and is ready for
operation.
