When removing the scale from its packing, inspect it for signs of damage, such as exterior dents and scratches.
Power-Up Initialization 1. Turn the scale over and locate the removable panel on the bottom of the scale. 2. Remove the panel to gain access to the battery holder. 3. Install the included four (4) “AAA” size alkaline batteries. 4. Place the scale on a flat level surface, such as a desk, table or bench. 5. Lightly press on the scale to turn it on. 6. The scale display will show oooo, change to a moving o and then turn off. 7. The scale has completed initialization and is ready for normal operation.
Weighing Unit Switch The weighting unit switch (kg /lb switch) is a push-button switch located on the bottom of the scale. Press the switch to toggle between kg and lb. Note that the default setting unit is kg. 1. With the scale off, press the push-button. 2. Zero weight and the current weighing unit setting will be shown on the LCD, e.g. 0.0 kg. 3. Press the push-button again to toggle to lb. 4. Zero weight and the new weighing unit setting will be shown on the LCD, e.g. 0.0 lb RS232 Output Port 1.
Proper Disposal When this device reaches the end of its useful life, it must be properly disposed of. It must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Within the European Union, this device should be returned to the distributor from where it was purchased for proper disposal. This is in accordance with EU Directive 2002/96/EC. Within North America, the device should be disposed of in accordance with the local laws regarding the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

La bascula mostrara oooo, cambiará a un o en movimiento y luego se apagará. 7.
Botón de Cambio de Unidades de Medición El botón de cambio de unidades de medición (kg /lb) es un botón ubicado en la parte de abajo de la báscula. Presione el botón para cambiar de libras a kilos. Notar que la unidad esta configurada en kilogramos. 1. Con la báscula apagada, presione el botón. 2. El peso en cero y unidad de peso actual se mostrara en la pantalla LCD, e.g. 0.0 kg. 3. Presione el botón una vez más para cambiar a libras. 4.
Desecho Adecuado Cuando esta unidad alcance el final de su vida útil, debe ser apropiadamente desecha. No debe ser mezclada con desechos municipales comunes. Dentro de la Unión Europea, este dispositivo debe ser devuelto a su distribuidor para un tratamiento adecuado. Esto es en cumplimiento de la directriz UE 2002/96/EC.
