The Menus Features and Menus
Please note: Call-waiting protec-
tion is only activated on the termi-
nal on which it was set. Even if your
internal call number of the terminal
is available (that is, also on other
terminals) more than once, Call-
waiting protection is not automati-
cally activated there.
“Connections” Menu
Please note: The following fea-
tures are available only if this is per-
mitted by the current call state of
your telephone. You can also find
these features in the call-depend-
ent menus.
Select Connections and then
select
Select Call pick-up, then …
Pick-up: This accepts a call for
another telephone in your pick-
up group.
If the called subscriber is a
member of a user group for
which pick-up protection is
active, then you cannot pick up
calls to this subscriber’s call
number.
Pick-up select.: You can answer
a call for any other telephone. To
do this, enter the call number of
the other telephone.
If the called subscriber is a
member of a user group for
which pick-up protection is
active, then you cannot pick up
calls for their call number.
Please note: If the other terminal
is already in the call state (e.g. an
answering machine is in announce-
ment mode), you pick up the call.
The subscriber for whom you pick
up the call must belong to a user
group for which the “Call removal”
authorisation is activated, other-
wise “Pick-up selective” is not possi-
ble.
Select Dial, then …
Announcement: After entering
the call number, you can initiate
an announcement on another
system terminal. Enter the call
number under To:. Announce-
ments can also be directed to
call numbers under which sev-
eral subscribers can be reached
(see also Announcements start-
ing on page 49).
If the called subscriber is a mem-
ber of a user group for which in-
tercom protection is active, no
announcements are made to the
subscriber’s call number.
VIP call: Even if the called inter-
nal subscriber (only with a sys-
tem terminal) has call-waiting
protection, call protection or
call-forwarding activated, your
