Poly-V-Belt Inspection Concerns

Monitoring the Serpentine Belts
Two poly-V-belts (8 and 9) are used on the engine for On-Highway Vehicle
applications. One belt drives the fan hub and the other belt drives the remaining
accessories. To provide proper running tension, the system utilizes an automatic
tensioning device. Automatic belt tensioners require no adjustment.
