GLOSSARY
This product is not equipped with a ground
fault interrupter. It has been manufactured in
compliance with code requirements for a
double insulated product. For your personal
protection, this product must be connected to
a circuit equipped with ground fault
interrupter protection.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS & EXTENSION CORDS
EXTENSION CORDS: Extension cords are NOT recom-
mended to be used with this product. If an extension
cord must be used, the following 3 requirements should
be met:
1. 14 gauge minimum wire size up to 25 ft. cord.
2. 12 gauge minimum wire size up to 50 ft. cord.
3. Use only extension cords that are intended for out
door use. These extension cords are identified by
a marking "Acceptable for use with outdoor
appliances; store indoors while not in use." Use only
extension cords having an electrical rating not less
than the rating of the product. Do not use
damaged extension cord and do not yank on any
cord to disconnect. Keep cord away from heat
and sharp edges. Always disconnect the extension
cord from the receptacle before disconnecting the
product from the extension cord. Extension cord
must be connected to a grounded outlet equipped
with a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter).
There is a risk of Electrocution if extension cord is
not connected to a grounded outlet equipped with
a GFCI.
FLOW RATE: This is the amount of water that passes
through your wand. (Usually measured in G.P.M.,
gallons per minute.).
P.S.I.: Unit of measure, pounds per square inch.
START/STOP: This unit will automatically start when
the trigger is depressed and automatically stop when
you release of the trigger.
To reduce the risk of electrocution, keep all
connections dry and off the ground. Do not
touch plug with wet hands. Do not use if cord
is damaged.
SERVICING OF A DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCE
In a double-insulated product, two systems of insula-
tion are provided instead of grounding. No grounding
means is provided on a double-insulated product, nor
should a means for grounding be added to the prod-
uct. Servicing a double-insulated product requires ex-
treme care and knowledge of the system, and should
be done only by qualified service personnel. Replace-
ment parts for double-insulated product must be iden-
tical to the parts they replace.
A double-insulated product is marked with the words
"DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED." The
symbol
may also be marked on the product.
