Trouble! What’s Wrong? What To Do
Saw will not start Saw not plugged in. Plug in saw.
GFCI tripped. Push switch to off and push reset button on GFCI.
Saw will not run (plugged in; switch on). Push switch to off and push the reset button on the GFCI.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. Push switch to off and replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Cord damaged. Have cord replaced by authorized service center.
Brushes worn out. Have brushes replaced by authorized service center.
Saw makes unsatisfactory cuts Dull cutting wheel. Replace cutting wheel. Refer to Installing the Cutting Wheel.
Water pump will not pump water. Remove water pump and spray with clean water to dislodge the impeller.
Cutting wheel mounted backwards. Turn cutting wheel around. Refer to Installing the Cutting Wheel.
Build up on cutting wheel. Use dressing stone to remove build up.
Incorrect cutting wheel for work being done. Change the cutting wheel. Refer to Installing the Cutting Wheel.
Cutting wheel does not come up to speed Extension cord too small of a wire gauge or too long. Replace with adequate size cord. Refer to Minimum Gauge for Cord Sets.
Arbor loose. Tighten arbor.
Low house voltage. Contact your electric company.
Machine vibrates excessively Saw not mounted securely to stand. Reposition water pan on stand.
Stand or bench on uneven floor. Reposition on flat level surface.
Damaged saw cutting wheel. Replace cutting wheel. Refer to Installing the Cutting Wheel.
Does not make accurate cuts Cutting cart side attachment not secure to fence. Check and adjust. Tighten the side attachment knob.
Cutting wheel is not square to fence. Check and adjust. Refer to Cutting Wheel Parallel to Cart.
Cutting wheel is not perpendicular to cart surface. Check and adjust fence. Refer to Cutting Wheel Square to Cart.
Workpiece moving. Use side attachment and edge guide.
