If you are not sure about the
correct setting, start with a low
temperature setting and gradually
increase the temperature until you
achieve optimum results.
Mounting the Correct Accessory
This tool is supplied with a set of accessories for
different applications.

Make sure that the tool is switched off and the
nozzle has cooled down.
Set the desired accessory onto the nozzle.
Prior to Operation
1. Mount the correct accessory for the application.
2. Set the desired air temperature.

Proper Hand Position (fi g. 3)

securely in anticipation of a sudden
reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle (f).
WARNING: Do not place your other
hand over the air vents (fig. 4).
Switching On and Off (fi g. 5)
1. To switch the tool on, set the on/off switch (a)
to position I. Some smoke may be emitted after
switching on; this does not indicate a problem.
2. To switch the tool off, set the on/off switch
to position O. Let the tool cool down before
moving or storing it.
Stripping Paint
1. Mount an appropriate accessory.
2. Set a high air temperature.
3. Switch the tool on.
4. Direct the hot air onto the paint to be removed.
5. When the paint softens, scrape the paint away
using a hand scraper.
6. Do not strip metal window frames, as the heat
may be conducted onto the glass and crack it.
7. When stripping other window frames, use the
glass protection nozzle.
8. Do not keep the tool directed at one spot too
long to prevent igniting the surface.
9. Avoid collecting paint on the scraper accessory,
as it may ignite. If necessary, carefully remove
paint debris from the scraper accessory using a
knife.
