VIVO S7/S3 is also a Master Keyboard,. You can play other external MIDI
devices via the stage pianos keyboard. You can split the keyboard into four
dierent zones, each of which can then control external devices playing
multiple sounds.
For information to how connect a MIDI device, see "Connecting the
VIVO S7/S3 to MIDI devices" (p. 18).
Programmable Four MIDI zones
VIVO S7/S3 has four programmable separated MIDI zones. For each zone
you can select the MIDI channel, the keyboard range, adjust the Octave,
Transpose and many other parameters.

The zone settings can be saved in the memories. See "Working
with the Memories" (p. 37).

To facilitate the MIDI settings using the zones, you have a special
MIDI SET called "KeyboardZone". Please see "MIDI SET" (p. 55).
NOTE
In order to control another MIDI device using your piano, you
will need to set its MIDI receive channel in according to the MIDI
zone transmit channel. To do this, please refer to the owner's
manual that came with the MIDI external devices.

Congure the MIDI zones
Master page
1. From the Master page, press the "ZONE" Function button
to enter in the MIDI ZONE page.
2. Use the [][] buttons to choose the zone you want to
congure.
3. Press the "EDIT" status button.

4. Use the [][] buttons to select the parameter.
5. Use the [][] buttons or the PLAYER LEVEL knob to
adjust the value.
Here is a brief explanation of MIDI zone conguration parameters:
Parameter Setting Explanation
Switch OFF, ON Disable or enable the MIDI zone
Channel 1~16 Select the MIDI transmit channel
Octave -4 ~ 0 ~ +4 Adjust the Octave value
Transpose -12 ~ 0 ~ +12 Adjust the Transpose value

Set the keyboard range.

CC00 0 ~ 127 These messages are used to select a
sound on the external device when you
active the zone.
Select the triplet (cc00, cc32, PC) to
dene the sound.

Set the volume level to send to the
external device .
Panpot -64 ~ 0 ~ 63
Set the panpot value to send to the
external device.
PC Send OFF, ON
OFF: use this setting if you do not want
the triplet (cc00, cc32, PC) is sent via
MIDI.
ON: use this setting to send the triplet
(cc00, cc32, PC) via MIDI.
Bender OFF, ON
OFF: The bender wheel is decoupled.
On: The bender wheel is coupled
with the zone. The bender values are
transmitted via MIDI.
Modulation OFF, ON
OFF: The modulation wheel is
decoupled.
On: The modulation wheel is coupled
with the zone. The modulation values
are transmitted via MIDI.
Foot SW OFF, ON OFF: The function of the pedal is
decoupled.
On: The function linked to the pedal is
coupled with the zone. The values are
transmitted via MIDI.
Damper OFF, ON
Expression OFF, ON
Control 1 OFF, ON These parameters are related to the
four Control knobs located on the left
panel.
OFF: The control knob is decoupled.
On: The control knob is coupled with
the zone when the MIDI channel is the
control is set to "Zone". See "CONTROL
1 ASSIGN", "CONTROL 2 ASSIGN",
"CONTROL 3 ASSIGN", "CONTROL
4 ASSIGN" (p. 51). The values are
transmitted via MIDI.
