1. Use same size motor pulley as recommended
by cooler manufacturer.
2. Pre-set adjustable pulley for air flow
resistance. See figure 1.
3. Place motor pulley on motor shaft.
4. Align motor and blower pulleys as
shown in figure 2.
5. Use 5/32" hex key to tighten pulley set
screw onto flat of motor shaft.
6. Place belt onto motor and blower pulleys.
7. Adjust belt tension. See figure 3. A 5-pound force should deflect belt 1/2" to 3/4".
8. Operate motor to check motor load. Motor amperage draw
must not exceed nameplate value. a. If motor runs continuously,
installation is complete. b. If motor cycles on and off, motor is
overloaded. Decrease motor load by decreasing pulley diameter
(unscrewing counterclockwise). Repeat steps 7 and 8.
CAUTION: Turn off electricity at circuit breaker
before working on evaporative cooler.

PRECAUCIÓN:
Desconecte
la electricidad
de la caja de
interruptores
antes de trabajar
en un enfriador
evaporativo.
1. Use el mismo tamaño de polea que recomienda el fabricante del enfriador.
2. Pre-posicione la polea ajustable para la resistencia del aire. Ver figura 1.
3. Ponga la polea del motor en la flecha del motor.
4. Alinee las poleas del motor y de la turbina como se muestra en la figura 2.
5. Use una llave allen de 5/32" para apretar el tornillo para fijar la polea en el lado plano
de la flecha del motor.
6. Ponga la banda en las poleas del motor y de la turbina.
7. Ajuste la tensión de la banda. Ver figura 3. Una fuerza de 5 libras debe flexionar la
banda de 1/2" a 3/4".
8. Arranque el motor para revisar su carga. El consumo del amperaje del motor no debe
exceder el valor de la placa. a. Si el motor trabaja.
