Using Function (Fn) Keys
Using function keys is a quick way to carry out
commands or enable features on your computer.
Function keys have a blue icon or have blue text
(such as on the Home and PgDn keys). To use
this function, press and hold the Fn key (1) and
then press a function key (2).
Fn key functions are described as follows:

Pressing some function key
combinations (for example, Fn + F8)
shows an On Screen display (OSD) to
indicate the function used.
Fn: Resume system from suspend mode.
Fn + Esc: Repeatedly pressing the buttons outputs the display signal to
one of the following:
z Connected external display only
z Both a connected external display and system display
z System display only
If no external display is connected, pressing this key combination has no
effect.
Fn + ~: Turns the V5 LCD off.
Fn + F1: Decreases display brightness.
