 Notes
• The above values are strictly rough guides.
• Available recording time may be shorter if
many short recordings are made
(The displayed available recording time
and recorded time are approximate
indications).
• The maximum capacity for a single le is
limited to approx. 4 GB for WMA and MP3,
and approx. 2 GB for Linear PCM format
(WAV).
• Regardless of the memory remaining
amount, the longest sound recording time
per le is restricted to the following value.
Maximum recording time per file
PCM format (For WS-520M only)
[44.1 kHz/
16 bit]
approx. 3 h. 20 min.
MP3 format (For WS-520M only)
[256 kbps] approx. 37 h. 10 min.
[128 kbps] approx. 74 h. 30 min.
WMA format
[ST XQ] approx. 26 h. 40 min.
[ST HQ] approx. 26 h. 40 min.
[ST SP] approx. 53 h. 40 min.
[HQ] approx. 26 h. 40 min.
[SP] approx. 53 h. 40 min.

It is possible to record exceeding 2GB
The recording will continue even if the
volume of a single file exceeds 2 GB in the
linear PCM format recording.
• The le is saved every 2 GB in separate
les. It will be treated as multiple les
when playing back.
• When the recording exceeds 2 GB, the
number of les in the folder may exceed
200 les. The 201 le and later will not be
recognized by the recorder, so check by
connecting the recorder to a PC.
