The first time you launch Pro Tools after the demo pe-
riod has ended, a dialog indicates that your Digi-
Translator demo has expired. You will need to authorize
the DigiTranslator option at this time to continue using
DigiTranslator.
If you do not authorize the DigiTranslator option at the
end of the demo period, you will encounter the copy
protection warning dialog every time you launch
Pro Tools. If you do not intend to authorize the Digi-
Translator option on your system, you should uninstall
DigiTranslator.
Removing DigiTranslator
If you let a demo version of a DigiTranslator expire, you
should remove it from your system. Otherwise, each
time you open Pro Tools you will be prompted with a
message that the component has expired.
To remove DigiTranslator on Windows XP:
1 Click Start.
2 Click Control Panel.
3 Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
4 From the Currently installed programs list, select
Digidesign Pro Tools.
5 Click the Change/Remove button.
6 Choose the Modify button.
7 Click Next.
8 Deselect the DigiTranslator box.
9 Click Next.
10 When removal is complete, close the Add or Remove
Programs window.
To remove DigiTranslator on Mac:
1 Open the Pro Tools folder on your Startup drive (lo-
cated in Applications/Digidesign).
2 Drag the OMF.bundle file to the Trash.
3 Empty the Trash.
