Before running the Host DRED test you will also need to have ampliﬁers and headsets or speakers

connected to your Waveform Synthesizers in order to hear the test sounds. You will also need to

connect your Host Ethernet link to the DACS.

Table 3 below lists the packet byte location, data format, and data values that must be sent from

the Host for proper test sound generation.

Test sounds can be turned off by setting byte 12 to 0x01.

If sounds are not heard, consult the Model Builder Ethernet Status Page (see the Model Builder

Reference Manual for more information) to determine if packets are being received from the Host

correctly. Also check the Rx Buffer Page (see the Model Builder Reference Manual for more

information) to determine if the data listed in Table 2 is in the correct location and correct order.
