RIU Version 4.1
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
• None
REMOVAL:
• Unplug all connectors to the RIU. Unplug the power from the RIU.
• The RIU is now removed.
INSTALLATION:
If a unit with factory default configuration is being used (i.e. the user has not changed any of the
input gain jumpers) then perform the following procedure.
• Set the rotary address switch on the RIU face plate to the same number as the RIU you are
replacing.
• Reconnect all external cabling.
• Reconnect power.
• If the user has changed any of the input gain jumpers, then perform the following procedure:
• Make sure that you are properly grounded for ESD protection.
• Unscrew the screws in the faceplate on the side with the TDM link connectors (opposite of
the side with the DB9 audio connectors) and remove the faceplate.
• Slide the cover of the case off.
• Locate the gain jumper blocks near the DB-9 connectors. Match the gain jumper settings
between the old and replacement RIU.
• Slide the cover back onto the case.
• Replace the end of the case and put the screws back in.
• Reconnect all external cabling
• Plug in the power cord.
If, for any reason, you decide to remove the board from its enclosure, remove the ground plug
screw first.
