AMI BIOS (c) 1995 Setup (586 Systems)
Note: BIOS date is located at the top of Main Utility page. For 586 systems with AMI BIOS (c)
1995, perform the following for BIOS setup:
• Reboot the DACS and enter the BIOS setup routine
• Select “Auto Configure With BIOS Defaults”
• Select the “Auto Detect Hard Disk” option to generate the appropriate hard disk parameters
• Select the “Standard CMOS Setup”, and set the following:
Enter correct time and date
Check that the hard disk parameters have been identified
Enable the floppy
Set keyboard for “Not Installed”
• Set the following drive configuration:
Pri Master = Auto
Pri Slave = Not Installed
Sec Master = Not Installed
Sec Slave = Not Installed
• Exit and select “Advanced CMOS Setup”, then set the following:
Quick Boot = Disable
Boot Sequence = A:;C:;CD ROM
External Cached = Enabled
C000, 16k Shadow = Cached
C400, 16k Shadow = Cached
Mouse Support = Disable
• Select “Advanced Chipset Setup”, and set the following:
IRQ 12/M Mouse Function = Disable
• Select “PCI/Plug and Play Setup”, and set the following:
Plug and Play Aware O/S = No
IRQ 10 = “ISA/EISA”
IRQ 11 = “ISA/EISA”
• Exit and select “Write to CMOS and Exit”
The system will save the configuration and automatically reboot.
Note: If MS DOS is to be installed next, place DOS Disk1 in a: drive.
