Step Procedure
4 Use the SHOW CONFIG command and write down the following
information:
• System ROM version
• Graphics type
• Memory configuration
• SCSI devices and IDs
5 Make sure this configuration agrees with the actual hardware.
If the configuration does not agree, make sure the following are true:
• SCSI IDs are all unique.
• Cables are correctly installed.
• The expansion box power is turned on first.
6 Wait three minutes after turning off a monitor before you move or service it.
4.3 System Preparation
Follow these steps to prepare the system for removing and replacing FRUs:
Step Procedure
1 Shut down the operating system.
2 Put the system into console mode by pressing the halt button on the system
box.
3 At the console prompt, set the system to halt on future power-ups after the
power-up tests are completed by entering the following command:
>>> SET HALT 3
