foramaximumof1.5Ampswitha40VAtransformer.Thisoutputcanbesteady,pulsed,orTemporalCode3
dependingupontheBellActionspeciedinOutputOptionsprogramming.Terminal6isthegroundreference
forthebellcircuit.Ifusingahornorsiren,a1k0hmresistershouldbeaddedacrossthebellcircuitfor
supervision.
Keypad Data Bus
8.1 Description
Terminals7,8,9,and10ofthepanelaredesignatedasthekeypaddatabus.Inadditiontokeypads,the
XT30/XT50allowstheconnectionofanycombinationofzoneexpansionmodules,GlassbreakDetectors,and
PIRstothekeypadbusuptothemaximumofeightdevices.
8.2 Terminal 7 - RED
Nominal12VDCissuppliedatterminal7topowerkeypadsandzoneexpanders.Thisisalsowherepower
foranyauxiliarydeviceissupplied.Thegroundreferenceforterminal7isterminal10.Themaximumoutput
isratedat500mA.AllauxiliarydevicestotaledtogethermustnotexceedtheTerminal7maximumcurrent
ratingof500mA.Whenthenumberofkeypadsorotherexpansiondevicesattachedexceedstheamountof
outputcurrentavailable,attachanexternalpowersupplyasdenedintheModel710InstallationSheet
(LT-0310).
8.3 Terminal 8 - YELLOW
Datareceivefromkeypadsandzoneexpanders.
8.4 Terminal 9 - GREEN
Datatransmittokeypadsandzoneexpanders.
8.5 Terminal 10 - BLACK
Terminal10isthegroundreferenceforLCDkeypads,zoneexpanders,andanyauxiliarydevicesbeing
poweredbyterminals7and11.
8.6 Keypad Bus LEDs
ThetwoLEDslocatedjustaboveterminal13indicatekeypadtransmitdata(XMIT)andkeypadreceivedata
(RCV).ThebottomLEDashesgreentoindicatedatabeingtransmittedfromthepanel.ThetopLEDashes
yellowtoindicatedatabeingreceivedbythepanelfromkeypads,zoneexpanders,etc.
8.7 Programming Connection
Alocking4-pinheader(J8)isprovidedtoconnectakeypadwhenusingaDMPModel330ProgrammingCable.
Thisprovidesaquickandeasyconnectionforprogrammingthepanel.
8.8 Keypad Addressing
KeypadBusexpansionzonesarenumberedingroupsoffourcorrespondingtotheaddress.Example:address
1iszones11-14andaddress5iszones51-54.Thereareamaximumof32zonespossibleontheKeypadBus.
Allkeypadzonesterminatewitha1k0hmEOLresister.
