16.1 Description
TheXTSeriespanelsoftwarecanbeupdatedviathepanel’sprogramming(PROG)header.Toupdatethe
panel with a new software version, complete the following steps at the protected premise:
1.PlaceajumperacrosstheReset(J16)headerandthenremovetheyellowandgreenwiresfromkeypad
busterminals8and9.
2.ConnectaDMP399CablefromtheJ8ProgrammingHeadertotheserialportofyourPCoperating
RemoteLinkandcontainingtheXTRUle.RequiresRemoteLink1.43orhigher.
3.StartRemoteLinkandcreateoropentheXTSeriescontrolpanelaccountthatmatchesthepaneltobeupdated.
4.SettheConnectionInformationTypetoDirectwithabaudrateof38400andchoosetheappropriateCOMport.
5.SelectPanel>RemoteUpdate,thenselectthecorrectRUlefortheXTpanelmodel.
6.WhileplacingashortacrosstheLOAD(J18)header,removethejumperfromtheReset(J16)header.
Click<Update>inRemoteLink.
7.Afterthesoftwareversionisupdated,removetheshortfromtheLOADheader.Placethejumperacross
Reset(J16)thenremovethe399cable.
8.Replacetheyellowandgreenwirestoterminals8and9.
9.RemoveReset(J16)jumpertoresumenormalpaneloperation.
