On-Board 1100 Series Wireless Antenna Connection
18.1 Wireless Antenna
TheXT50WirelessAntennaterminalblockJ20islocatedatthetoprightcornerofthecircuitboard.The
antenna installs through a small opening in the top of the enclosure and is attached to the panel using the
right terminal. The left terminal is not used.
TheXT50built-inwirelessoperateswithDMP1100Seriestransmitters.Seesection3.4foralistofaccessory
devices.
18.2 LED Operation
Green (TX):Withawirelesshousecodeenabled,thegreenLEDasheseverytimethereceivertransmits
(32timespersecond).Ifahousecodeisnotprogrammedinthepanel,thepanelisreset,orthepanelis
poweredoff,thegreenLEDwillbeoff.Undernormaloperation,thegreenLEDashesconstantlywithno
interruption or change.
Yellow (RX):TheyellowLEDasheseverytimethereceiverhearsamessagefromaprogrammedwireless
transmitter.Whenamessageissentbyatransmitter,typicallybypressingorreleasingthetamperswitch,
theyellowLEDshouldashindicatingthatthereceiverreceivedamessagefromthetransmitter.Ifthe
LEDneverashes,thetransmitterisnotgettingthroughtothereceiver.Thiscouldbebecauseofa
misprogrammedserialnumberorthetransmitteristoofaraway.Undernormaloperation,theyellowLED
willashateverytripofeverywirelesstransmitterandoccasionallywhenthetransmittersperformtheir
periodiccheck-in.ItisnotunusualforthisLEDtostayoffformanyminutesatatimewhennotransmitters
are communicating.
Wireless Keypads
19.1 Mounting Keypads
DMPkeypadshaveremovablecoversthatallowthebasetobemountedonawall,deskstandorotherat
surface using the screw holes provided on each corner.
19.2 Wireless Keypad Association
EnableWirelessKeypadAssociationoperationonboththekeypadandpanel.
Toenableassociationoperationinthekeypad,accesstheInstallerOptions
Menu(3577(INST))andselectRFSurvey).ThekeypadlogoLEDsturnonRed
until association is successful.
ToenableassociationoperationintheXT30/XT50panel,resetpanel3times
within12seconds.AllowthekeypadbusTransmit/ReceiveLEDstoturnback
on between each reset.
For60secondsthepanellistensforwirelesskeypadsthatareintheInstallerOptionsMenu(3577CMD)and
havenotbeenprogrammed,orassociatedintoanotherpanel.Thosekeypadsareassignedtotherstopen
devicepositionautomaticallybasedupontheorderinwhichtheyaredetected.ThekeypadlogoturnsGreen
to indicate it has been associated with the panel.
