J16 Jumper is installed. RemovetheJ16resetjumper.
Openorshortonthegreendatawireto
thekeypad.
Checkforbrokenorshortedwiresbetween
thepanelandthekeypad.
Badkeypadorzoneexpanderisaffecting
theGreendatawire.
Replacekeypadorzoneexpander.
Keypad keyboard is not functional.

beep is emitted.
Openorshortontheyellowdatawireto

thepanelandthekeypad.

Connect keypad/expanders.

Twoormorekeypadsareassignedtothe
same address.
Seteachkeypadonthesystemtoaunique
address.
PowerLEDisoff. AC/Battery is not connected. Connect AC power and/or battery.

AC TROUBLE ThesystemisnotgettingproperACpower.
CheckthattheACconnectionsaregoodfromthe
transformer.
BATTERY TROUBLE Thebatteryiseitherlowormissing.
Checktoseethatbatteryandconnectionsaregood.
SYSTEM BUSY
Thesystemisperforminganothertaskwitha
higherpriorityorisbeingRemoteProgrammed.
Waitafewmomentsforthesystemtocompletethe
task.MakesuretheJ16jumperisnotonthepanel.If
themessagedisplaysforseveralminutes,thekeypad
isnotreceivingpollingfromthepanel.
TRANSMIT FAIL
Thepanelhasattemptedtocommunicatewith
thecentralstationmultipletimesandhasnot
succeeded.
Verifyyourcommunicationtype,accountnumber,
andphonenumber.Makesurethetelephonelineis
connectedandworkingproperly.
