Login (Admin only) – can be changed for all users except Super Administrator (admin). Also, a user cannot change
own login name. The login name can be set in Resource Tree.
Password – can be changed for all users, except Super Administrator (admin). Viewer can only change own
password. Super Administrator can change his password as well.
Enabled – can be changed for all users, except Super Administrator (admin). Also, a user cannot disable himself.
See "Disabling/Enabling Users (Admin Only)".
E-Mail.
Access Rights (Admin only) – can be changed for all users, except Super Administrator (admin). Also, User cannot
change own role.
To change User Details:
1. Do one of the following:
Select any User in Resource Tree, Right-Click on Context Menu and choose User Settings.
Open User and Roles Management Form and double-click on the desired user record (or click ).
2. Change the desired fields and click OK (or Cancel to close the form).
Disabling/Enabling Users (Admin Only)
To restrict access to DW Spectrum it is possible to make User inactive. Contrary to deleting User this method allows
keeping all User action records (see "Viewing Users' Actions Log (Audit Trail)").
To disable User(s), do one of the following:
Open User and Roles Management Form, select user(s) to disable and click Disable Selected. This method is useful
when it's necessary to delete several Users simultaneously.
Go to user settings (see "Changing User Settings") and clear the Enabled flag, then click OK.
To enable User(s) back, do the opposite.
Deleting User (Admin Only)
It is possible to delete any User, except Super Administrator. A User cannot delete own profile. To delete, do one of
the following:
Open User and Roles Management Form, select user(s) to delete and click Delete Selected. This method is useful
when it's necessary to delete several Users simultaneously.
locate the desired User in Resource Tree, Right-Click for Context Menu and choose Delete (or press DEL).
Also it is recommended to disable User instead of deleting him (see "Disabling/Enabling Users (Admin Only)"). This
method helps to keep the user's action history (refer to "Viewing Users' Actions Log (Audit Trail)").
IMPORTANT. All associated Layouts will automatically be deleted along with the User. If Layout is assigned to
another User, it will remain in System.
