Importing Users from LDAP Server.
Setting Up LDAP Integration
To be able to import Users and allow them to connect to DW Spectrum, it is necessary to setup connection between
DW Spectrum and LDAP Server. This part should be done by or in cooperation with Network (Domain) Administrator.
To integrate with a corporate LDAP Server:
1. Open User and Roles Management Form and click LDAP Settings...
Note: If this button is not available, make sure no Users are selected.
2. Enter the following details (consult with your Network (Domain) Administrator if needed):
IMPORTANT. Server URL should be Fully Qualified Domain Name of the supported LDAP server that can
authenticate the login .
If the server URL of the server that can’t authenticate login but have the LDAP data, the test will pass and will
show the LDAP users and add to the Spectrum but can’t login using the LDAP account.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_qualified_domain_name for details.
Search Filter is optional and used to filter Users on the server side (special LDAP syntax is used). The above
example illustrates the most simple filter.
