Appendix B. How to set DDNS using router
NOTE: The information below does NOT apply to scenarios where the DVR as a public IP
address or an ADSL connection is used directly.
The instructions below are a general explanation of the steps required to be able to connect to
your DVR remotely over the internet.
Please note that these are only generic instructions and may differ greatly pending on your
router’s make and model.
It is highly recommended that you contact your Network Administrator or Internet Service
Provider (ISP) for proper configuration of your router.
The example below will demonstrate how to setup 3 DVRs for external remote connection.
1. Domain Name Creation
- Go to http://www.dvr-ddns.com/
- Click ‘Sign up!’ to create an account.
