Switch from Nitek

Nitek proudly announces the introduc-

tion of the ET4500C to the rapidly

expanding family of Etherstretch IP

over Coax transmission products. The

ET4500C is a unique four-port PoE

network switch which integrates our

Etherstretch technology allowing the

IP data to transmit over coaxial cable

up to 1,640 feet (500 Meters).

This new addition to the Etherstretch

product line is capable of transmitting

100Mbps while supplying power over

Ethernet to its connected edge devices.

In addition to being ONVIF compli-

ant, it has an extreme operating tem-

perature which ensures the ET4500C

is environmentally hardened, making it

a perfect solution no matter where it is

being deployed. This transmitter works

in conjunction with any of the available

Etherstretch multi-port receiver and

requires very little installation time and

no set up and/or configuration. These

units quickly turn any ordinary RG59

coax cable into a high speed network

communication and PoE pathway.

The ET4500C is transparent to the

network thus requiring no IP and MAC

addressing. LED indicators show the

status of network communication and

PoE power. Nitek’s Etherstretch extends

network communications to overcome

cable distance limitations offering con-

nections to devices in locations tradi-

tional networking does not allow.
