The JamMan has two types of card erase procedures: Erase Loops and
Format Card. The Erase Loops procedure only erases JamMan loop data.
All other data and files on the card are left untouched. The Format Card
procedure erases all data and files on the CompactFlash
®
card. To use either
of these two procedures follow these steps:
Erase Loops
1. Press and hold the , STORE and buttons simultaneously
for two seconds. The display will show EL (Erase Loops) and the
button will flash.
2. Press the
button. The display reads E? (Erase Loops?) and the
button continues to flash. To abort this procedure, press the ExIT
button.
3. To erase all loop data, press and hold the
button for two seconds.
The CaRD bUSY LED beside the DISPLaY will light indicating the card is
erasing data.
Format a CompactFlash Card
1. Press and hold the , STORE and buttons simultaneously
for two seconds. The display will show EL (Erase Loops) and the
button will flash.
2. Rotate the SELECT knob and FO (Format) will appear in the DISPLaY.
3. Press the
button. F? (Format ?) will now appear in the DISPLaY
(the
button will continue to flash). To abort this procedure, press
the ExIT button.
4. To initiate the card formatting procedure, press and hold the
button for two seconds. The CaRD bUSY LED beside the DISPLaY will light
indicating the card is being formatted.
: When using a different CompactFlash card than the one that came
with the JamMan, it is recommended that you format it using the procedure
outlined above before using it with the JamMan.
