IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS Basic Precautions When using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. These precautions include: ① Read all instructions before using the electric fireplace. ② Extreme caution is necessary when the firebox is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the firebox is left operating and unattended. ③ Always turn off the fireplace when it is not in use.

Special Precautions CAUTION: Do not open the unit. There is a risk of electric shock. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Specifications The Dimplex Electric Fireplace offers an alternative to a wood or gas fireplace. It can give your existing fireplace new life or transform a cabinet or media center of your own into a stunning focal point. A dedicated circuit is preferred, but not essential in all cases.
Installation Placement 1. The Dimplex Electric Fireplace does not require any special venting. Make sure there is clearance for air circulation beneath the unit and at least 1/2" behind it. CAUTION: Do not install the fireplace directly on carpet or similar surfaces which may restrict air flow. 2. Install the unit in an opening with the Mounting 1. If applicable, carefully pour and evenly distribute the supplied media in the media tray of the firebox.
Installation 2b. If installing into a custom mantel, or into an existing opening, secure the firebox by inserting an appropriate screw through either the front hole, or back hole on the inside face of the firebox, depending on which location is more appropriate for the installation. Grounding Instructions This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Operation Touch Panel and Remote Controls The manual controls for the Dimplex Electric Fireplace are located on the front panel. When not activated, the icons are not visible. Touch the control panel to the right side of the white line to activate the icons. The selected setting displays on the left side of the panel. A multi-function IR (infrared) remote control also is provided. The remote control has a range of approximately 30 ft (9 m).
Operation Icon Function Description A Power Press to turn unit Off or On. • Unit Off Press to turn everything Off. Press again to turn unit On with previous settings. • Unit On Press to turn unit On with previous settings. --If the flame effect was On, the flame will turn on and the previous heat setting will be activated (On or Off). Display will show current heater temperature setting and after 2 sec displays the room temperature.
Operation Icon Function Description Disable Heat Press the Heat and Temp buttons on the unit at the same time and hold for 2 second to disable the heater. Press and hold again for 2 seconds to enable the heater. When the heater is disabled, "--" will display when Temp button is pressed. The remainder of the unit's controls will operate in the same fashion. C / o F Temp The display can show the temperature reading in either o C or o F.

Display will show b3, b1, b2 respectively. • High • Low • Medium G Flame Press to turn the flame effect On. Press again to turn the flame effect Off. H Timer Press multiple times to change the sleep timer by 0.5 hr from 0.5 hr to 8 hr before turning off. Press again, the remaining time on the timer displays.
Maintenance Technical Support General Support Services Inspect the electric firebox regularly, depending upon conditions, and at a minimum yearly intervals. Remove dust and clean with damp cloth as required. Technical and troubleshooting support, as well as a list of replacement parts can be found on: www.dimplex.com/customer_support. CAUTION: Except for installation and cleaning described in this manual, an authorized service representative should perform any other servicing.

Installation Emplacement 1. Le foyer Dimplex ne nécessite pas de ventilation particulière. Il faut s'assurer toutefois qu’un espace d’au moins 12 mm (1/2 pouce) se trouve sous l’appareil afin de permettre la circulation d’air. MISE EN GARDE : Ne pas installer le foyer directement sur une moquette ou une surface similaire qui pourrait restreindre la circulation d'air. 2.
Installation 2b. Si le foyer est installé dans un manteau personnalisé ou danws une ouverture existante, fixer le foyer en insérant la vis appropriée dans le trou avant ou arrière sur la face intérieure du foyer, selon l’emplacement qui convient le mieux à l’installation. Instructions de mise à la terre Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre.
Utilisation Panneau tactile et commandes à distance Les commandes manuelles du foyer électrique Dimplex sont situées sur le panneau avant. Les icônes ne sont pas visibles s’ils ne sont pas activés. Pour les activer, touchez le panneau de contrôle sur le côté droit de la ligne blanche. Le réglage sélectionné s’affiche sur le côté gauche du panneau. Une télécommande (infrarouge) multifonctionnelle est également fournie. La plage de fonctionnement de la télécommande est d’environ 9 m (30 pieds).

Appuyez de nouveau pour allumer avec les réglages précédents. • Allumage Appuyez pour allumer avec les réglages précédents. - Si l’effet de la flamme était activé, la flamme va s'activer et le réglage de chauffage précédent sera activé (Allumage ou extinction). Le panneau affichera le réglage de température actuel puis, 2 secondes après la température de la pièce.
Utilisation Icône Fonction Description Arrêt du chauffage Sur le panneau, appuyez en même temps sur les boutons Chauffage et Temp et maintenez appuyé pendant 2 secondes. Appuyez et maintenez appuyé pendant 2 secondes pour remettre le chauffage en marche. Lorsque le chauffage est arrêté, « -- » sera affiché lorsque l'on appuie sur le bouton Température. Les autres contrôles de l’appareil fonctionneront de la même façon. ° C / ° F Temp La température peut être affichée en ° C ou en ° F.

H Minuterie Appuyez plusieurs fois pour modifier la minuterie de mise en veille par incréments de 0,5 h de 0,5 h à 8 h avant l’arrêt.

Dépoussiérez-le et nettoyez-le à l’aide d’un chiffon mouillé. Instalación Colocación 1. La chimenea eléctrica Dimplex no requiere ninguna ventilación especial. Sin embargo, asegúrese de que exista espacio libre para la circulación de aire debajo de la unidad y por lo menos 1/2" (12.7 mm) detrás de ella. PRECAUCIÓN: No instale la chimenea directamente en alfombras o superficies análogas que puedan restringir la circulación de aire. Montaje 1. Si procede, vierta y distribuya uniformemente el material suministrado en la bandeja de material de la chimenea.
Instalación 2b. Para instalarlo en una repisa de chimenea personalizada, o en una abertura ya hecha, asegure la cámara de combustión al insertar un tornillo adecuado a través del orificio frontal, o en el orificio posterior de la cara interior de la cámara de combustión, dependiendo de cuál sea la ubicación más adecuada para la instalación. Instrucciones de puesta a tierra Este producto debe estar puesto a tierra.
Operación Panel táctil y controles remotos Los controles manuales de la chimenea eléctrica Dimplex se encuentran en el panel frontal. Cuando los iconos no están activados, no son visibles. Toque el panel de control en el lado derecho de la línea blanca para activar los iconos. El ajuste seleccionado se muestra en el lado izquierdo del panel. También se proporciona un control remoto multifunción IR (infrarrojo). El control remoto tiene un alcance de aproximadamente 30 pies (9 m).

El resto de los controles de la unidad funcionarán de la misma manera.

Mantenimiento Asistencia técnica General Servicios de asistencia Inspeccione regularmente la chimenea eléctrica, dependiendo de sus condiciones, y en intervalos anuales como mínimo. Quite el polvo y limpie con un paño húmedo según sea necesario.
