Harness Buckle Location

Conrm location of harness buckle is correct, to insure
proper harness t:
1. Properly secure child in restraint (see page 34).
2. Check for correct position of harness buckle.
For children 5–30 lbs:
Harness buckle can be directly above its buckle slot (Fig. A)
or forward of its buckle slot. (Fig. B)
If harness buckle strap angles sharply back towards
child (Fig. C), move buckle to a rear buckle location.
(See below.)
For children over 30 lbs:
Always use forward-most buckle location.
Installing harness buckle:
1. Locate correct harness
buckle slot.
2. Hold buckle strap metal
retainer vertically and then
rotate it slightly to slide it
completely through slot in
restraint bottom. (Fig. 1)
3. Firmly pull buckle upward
to conrm it is secured by
restraint bottom.
4. Conrm buckle release

button faces toward front of restraint and buckle strap
is not twisted.
