The following table shows which diodes correspond to each segment coil as
lettered in Fig. 43 on the following page.
Remove all electrical power to the scoreboard. Turn ON/OFF slide switch,
located on the control board to the “OFF” position.
Unplug the digit enable cable.
Unscrew the four screws located on the digit module.
Remove the digit module, see Fig. 42 below.
The operator’s console (or keyboard) has three purposes:
1. To send information to the control board.
2. To display information from the control board in the LCD display.
3. To amplify the electrical signal from the microphone.
The keyboard sends and receives information from the control board via
the data cable. The control board is where all the “intelligence” is cen-
tered. The console is a “slave” to the control board. This translates into
the following: the console must have a control board to operate, but the
control board does not need a console to operate.
