Cabling between two cabinets
Protection of cabling outside equipment
The potential reference plane can be one of the metal sides of the cabinet or its DIN
grid. The potential reference plane is always connected to the equipotential grid of
the cabinet or machine as well as to that of the equipotential island.
For plastic cabinets (not recommended) use a DIN rail or ground terminal.
Most on-site problems are related to
conduction.
All wire connections outside the
cabinet or machine must be
protected. Each cabinet or machine
must be equipped with a ground bar or
potential reference plane to which are
connected all shielded cables and wire
protection systems.
