• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away
from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free
of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.

To the consumer, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. warrants this vacuum cleaner to be free of defects in material
or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. Refer to the data plate label on your
vacuum cleaner for the length of warranty and save your original sales receipt to validate start of warranty
period.
If the vacuum cleaner should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any
defective parts free of charge. The complete machine must be delivered prepaid to any ROYAL Authorized
Sales & Warranty Service Station. Please include complete description of the problem, day of purchase,
copy of original sales receipt and your name, address and telephone number. If you are not near a Warranty
Station, call the factory for assistance at USA: 1-800-321-1134 / CANADA: 1-800-321-1134. Use only

replacement parts.
The warranty does not include unusual wear, damage resulting from accident or unreasonable use of the vacuum
cleaner. This warranty does not cover belts, brushes, bags, filters, bulbs or fan damage. This warranty does not
cover unauthorized repairs or the use of other than genuine Royal

parts. This warranty gives you specific legal

• Store vacuum cleaner indoors. Put vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent tripping
accidents.
• Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the

HOW TO USE AS A STICK VAC
TO USE: Slide the power switch to the ON position.
TO TURN UNIT OFF: Slide the power switch to the OFF position.
• Empty and clean the unit and filter after each use or after large pickups when the unit becomes full.
Hold body of unit in an
upright position.
Press handle release
button and slide handle
down until it snaps in
place.
Insert floor tool into dirt
cup nozzle. Firmly press to
assure proper connection.

Place unit in an upright position with the
back of the unit facing forward. Push release
button forward, then pull handle from unit.
Remove floor tool from

Attach crevice tool by inserting into nozzle
opening. To remove, pull apart gently.
Attach tool clip to
handle by firmly
pressing into place.

Depress the dirt cup release
button and pull nozzle away
from unit.
Hold nozzle over a wastebasket.
Grasp filter and gently pull
out.

EMPTY AND CLEAN DIRT CUP
Shake excess dirt and debris
out of dirt cup. Brush the
dust and dirt off the filter, or
shake the filter inside of the
wastebasket. IMPORTANT:
DO NOT WASH FILTER.

Gently push filter back into
dirt cup.

To reattach dirt cup: Align
bottom first and rotate nozzle
up, until it snaps into place.

WARNING:

the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

• Ne pas manipuler la prise ou l’aspirateur avec les mains mouillées.
• Ne pas tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation pour déplacer ou porter l’aspirateur. Ne pas
utiliser le cordon comme poignée, ne pas fermer de porte sur le cordon et ne pas tirer
le cordon s’il frotte sur une arête vive ou un coin de mur. Éviter que l’aspirateur ne roule
sur le cordon. Tenir le cordon à distance des surfaces chauffées.
• Ne pas débrancher en tirant sur le cordon d’alimentation. Pour débrancher, tenir la
fiche, non le cordon.
• Ne pas introduire d’objets dans les ouvertures. Ne pas utiliser si une ouverture est
bloquée; maintenir celles ci exemptes de poussière, de peluche, de cheveux et de tout
ce qui pourrait diminuer le passage de l’air.
• Garder les cheveux, les vêtements amples, les doigts et toutes les parties du corps loin
des ouvertures et des pièces mobiles.
• Mettre toutes les commandes sur arrêt avant de débrancher.
• Être particulièrement prudent pour le nettoyage des escaliers.

comme de l’essence, ni l’utiliser dans des endroits où ces produits pourraient être
présents.
• Ne pas aspirer quoi que ce soit qui brûle ou qui fume, comme des cigarettes, des
allumettes ou des cendres chaudes.
• Ranger l’aspirateur à l’intérieur. Le ranger après usage pour que personne ne trébuche.
• Utiliser une tension inadéquate peut endommager le moteur et peut même blesser
