ClearVue Mini™ Thank you for your purchase of the CLEARVUE MINI Condensate Pump. This pump is designed to automatically remove the condensate water that collects in the primary drain pan of mini-split air conditioners just like a standard mini-split pump but with many customer inspired improvements. The pump is equipped with a tank that collects the water from the drain tray in the appliance.
I N T R O D U C T I O N Variable Lift & Speed Variable lift determines how hard the CLEARVUE MINI needs to pump in a given installation. The variable lift in CLEARVUE MINI assures that the pump is only pumping as hard as needed to lift the condensate water to the height needed. This variable speed results in significantly less noise than conventional mini-split pumps. Variable speed is a proven, quieting feature in furnace blower motors.
Installation, Location Consideration, and Mounting The CLEARVUE MINI may be installed in several different ways depending on the unit and location. These options include: 1. Above ceiling 2. Inside lineset cover 3. Inside evaporator 4. Behind evaporator mounting bracket in space behind drywall 1 CEILING TO OUTSIDE 4 3 DRAIN TRAY TANK PUMP 2 LINE SET COVER • Attach the tubing by pressing it over the barbed fitting.
S Y S T E M I N S T A L L A T I O N 6 Safety Switch The safety switch in the tank is designed to cut off power to the indoor casette unit when the water reaches a certain height. The condensate tank must be installed level to ensure proper operation. Once the switch is triggered, the red LED will illuminate to alert the user. The CLEARVUE MINI safety switch can be wired following these diagrams that are generic to the manufacturer.
Electrical Connection Supply voltage and frequency must match what is shown on the pump nameplate. Source voltages lower than rated supply can reduce performance and cause the pump to overheat. Wire the pump into a properly grounded receptacle capable of providing power that exceeds the requirements listed on the pump nameplate.
S Y S T E M I N S T A L L A T I O N 8 Inlet and Outlet Tubing Connections The pump is equipped with barb-type fittings. The supplied .5cm / 3/16” tubing is recommended for connections between the pump. The inlet tank tubing is connected to the discharge line of the mini-split cassette head unit. Wire ties are included to secure tubing connections when needed. Leak check pump before leaving jobsite.
Pump Operation Apply power by properly wiring the pump. Check for green LED illumination which indicates that the power is available. Test the pump operation and safety switch by manually filling the tank. Be sure that the red ALARM LED lights when the pump has reached an overflow condition and will properly shut off the system. Leak Check: Operate the pump by filling tank to trigger operation. Pump RUN will be indicated by the amber RUN LED.
