Designed specifically for the hurricane prone
regions of Florida and the Gulf Coast, the
CladLite® Hurricane pad meets stringent local
code requirements for wind resistance. Heavier
than a normal concrete pad, this pad provides
sufficient weight to meet code. These pads have
been designed specifically to meet the intent of the
Florida Building Code, Chapter 16, with respect to
wind resistance. Method of attachment tested per
ASCE 7. CladLite® Hurricane pads are suitable for
all 130 mph and most 150 mph installations. For
certain taller equipment, the CladLite® Hurricane
T pad is needed. CladLite® Hurricane pads have
been declared by the Florida Building Commission
to be an acceptable alternative material to solid
concrete slabs for use in specific applications from
Tallahassee to Miami. Approval of the pad is within
the discretion of the local building inspector. DCA02-
DEC-183. Due to their extra weight, standard freight
terms only apply for shipments to Florida. All other
shipments are shipped FOB Conyers, GA.

The CladLite® Hurricane T pad is even heavier than
the CladLite® Hurricane pad and is designed to meet
the higher wind loads of taller equipment. The taller
the piece of equipment mounted to the pad, the
greater the wind load on the pad. These pads provide
sufficient weight to meet code for these tall condensing
units. CladLite® Hurricane equipment pads have
been designed specifically to meet the intent of the
