Directions for Flushing Line Sets Preparing for R-410A
Conversions Using the Pro-Flush
®
Kit:
1. Establish the one end of the line set as the exit point and
place a re-sealable recovery container to capture the
used solvent/oil mixture.
2. Restrict the exit point to allow Pro-Flush
®
to achieve
maximum solvency of residual oil. For best results, use a
DiversiTech Line Set Flush Adapter (sold separately) to
connect the liquid line and the suction line at the discon-
nected air handler. Inject solvent into the liquid line and
collect solvent at the suction line outdoors at the discon-
nected condensing unit.
3. Attach the service hose with injector tool assembly to the
outlet side of the Injection tank valve (opposite the ball valve).
4. Pour the Pro-Flush
®
Solvent into the Injector Tank. A tank
may be lled with up to 24 oz. of Pro-Flush
®
. Reassemble
components then attach the hose from a pressure
regulated nitrogen tank to the inlet side (ball valve side) of
the injector valve.
5. Set the pressure regulator to deliver 50 psi of nitrogen then
slowly open the inlet valve to pressurize injector tank. Aer
pressurizing the injection tank close both valves and
remove the nitrogen ll hose.
6. Insert injector in entry port of line and ush in 3 second
bursts in stages. One 8 oz. can of Pro-Flush
®
will typically
clean up to 250 . of liquid line. Results will vary according
to contamination level and tubing diameter.
7. Aer injecting the Pro-Flush
®
, proceed to purge the lines
with 150 psi nitrogen for 1-2 minutes capturing the
solvent/oil residue in the recovery container. Clear ush
solvent indicates the lines are clean. If the exiting solvent is
not yet clear, repeat steps 6 and 7.
8. Proceed with new equipment installation and use a
vacuum pump to evacuate the entire system. This ensures
removal of any residual solvent.
Detailed instructions for line set ushing as well as system ush
aer a compressor burnout are contained in the printed insert
included in the Pro-Flush
®
Kit or at www.diversitech.com.
None to boiling (41°C/106°F) ASTM D56-87 - TAG Closed Cup (TCC)
Warning! Wear suitable personal protective equipment such
as gloves and face protection to avoid contact with skin or
eyes. Use only with adequate ventilation. Flush into a re-seal-
able waste collection container and ush from indoor spaces
to the outdoors when possible. Avoid ushing in conned
spaces near sources of ignition such as pilot lights, motors,
etc. Vapors from residual refrigeration oil, spent ushing
solvent and refrigerant mixtures may be ammable or
combustible. Vent hoses and use caution when disconnect-
ing. Avoid breathing fumes, vapors or contact with solvent
and residue that has been removed from the system. Do not
take internally. May be harmful or fatal if swallowed.
Store Pro-Flush
®
in a cool, dry area, away from
sources of ignition.
Note: If the temperature of the
Pro-Flush
®
can is above 106° F,
cool the contents of the can with
running water before opening
for safety and best
ushing results
