Manage Gateways
To view Gateways:
1. Open the VP Series 2000 Configuration Software.
2. Select the “Network Manager > Gateways” tab to display gateways that have been previously
added.
To add a gateway:
1. Click the “Add” button in the “Network Manager > Gateway” or right click on an empty space in the
tab and select “Add” to display the “Add Gateway” dialog box.
2. Enter the “Site Name”, “Gateway Name”, “Gateway Address” and “Gateway Port”.
(Typical default values for “Gateway Port” are 4901 for ISA100 and 5094 for WirelessHART, refer to
the network infrastructure vendor documentation for details).
3. Click “Add Gateway”. The added gateway is displayed in the list of gateways. The gateway
immediately begins to acquire a list of all devices on the network. The number of devices discovered
and configured is displayed.
To modify a gateway:
1. Select the relevant gateway in the “Network Manager > Gateway” tab and click the “Modify” button
or right click on the gateway and select “Modify” to display the “Modify Gateway” dialog box.
2. Modify the “Site Name” or “Gateway Name”.
3. Click on “Modify Gateway”.
To remove a gateway:
1. Select the relevant gateway in the “Network Manager > Gateway” tab and click the “Remove”
button or right click on the gateway and select “Remove” to display the “Remove Gateway” dialog
box.
2. Click on “Remove Gateway”.
To reset gateways:
• Reset individual gateways by selecting the relevant gateway in the “Network Manager > Gateway”
tab and clicking the “Reset” button or by right clicking on the gateway and selecting “Reset”.
• Reset all gateways by right clicking in the “Network Manager > Gateway” tab and selecting “Reset
All”.
To view available devices connected to a gateway or a set of gateways:
1. Select the “Network Manager > Gateway” tab and select a gateway or a set of gateways from the
list displayed.
2. Either double-click on a gateway or select the “Network Manager > Sensors” tab to display all
provisioned VP Series 2000 devices and their status.
