Routine Maintenance
Maintenance should be performed per the requirements in the chart below or as needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER AFTER FIRST 5 HOURS OF USE AND
THEN EVERY 100 HOURS THEREAFTER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID THE ENGINE WARRANTY.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CHANGE TRANSAXLE OIL AND FILTER AFTER FIRST 75 HOURS OF USE
AND THEN EVERY 400 HOURS THEREAFTER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID THE TRANSAXLE
WARRANTY.
NOTE: THE RECOMMENDED TRANSAXLE OIL FOR YOUR MOWER IS 20W50
We strongly urge that you use this oil in the event that you should need to rell or add hydraulic reservoir. How-
ever if this is unavailable, you may substitute a motor oil of 89 SUS or better (at 212 degrees Fahrenheit) , such
as a high grade 10W50, 15W40, or 15W50
Engine Oil: Consult engine manual.

Engine air lters should be cleaned/changed more frequently in dusty conditions or when airborne
debris is present.

Inspect unit for loose hardware and/or damaged parts X
Inspect tires for wear and proper ination
(front 15 psi, rear 10 psi)

Inspect and clean air intake screen X
Check engine oil level (See engine owner’s manual) X
Check blades for sharpness and wear X
Check hydraulic overow tank X
Change transaxle oil and lter

Inspect engine cooling ns under engine shroud
(See authorized Dixie Chopper dealer for cleaning if build-up
exists).
