supply will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of
power and overheating. The table below shows the correct cord size to use based on the
cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gage cord. The
smaller the cord gage number, the heavier the cord must be.

For safe use of adapters, the outlet box must be grounded. If there is any doubt about the
connections, you should have a qualified electrician check the wiring connections.
SECTION 3 – OPERATOR CAUTIONS
1) When plugging and unplugging the screwdrivers electrical cord and the electrical cord of
the power supply, firmly grasp the plug portion of cord.
2) Do not pull on the cord to unplug the unit. Do not put the controller near oil or hot objects.
Do not position the controller where it will rub against sharp edges.
3) Do not drop the controller or treat it roughly.
4) Use ONLY the designated Dixon Light Tool screwdrivers covered by this manual. Do not
use the power supply to power any other devices.
5) If the power supply overheats or the breaker behaves abnormally, immediately stop use
of the unit and send it for repair.
6) Do not dismantle the power supply and attempt to make repairs on it. Send the unit to an
authorized repair facility for repair.
Do not drop or abuse the controller.
When a controller is not being used, position the Power Switch to the “OFF” position
and unplug the power cord.
If you turn the power supply to lo w,” the screwdriver canno t be used at h igh capacity.
