Video Recording
Perform the Video Recording gesture within 6 ft (2
m) of the aircraft while facing toward the camera.
The gesture has been recognized successfully if the
Front LEDs blink red slowly. The Front LEDs will blink
red quickly, indicating the camera is about to record
video. Perform the record gesture again to stop.

Beckon
1. Raise your arms above your head in a Y
shape for two seconds after the aircraft starts
tracking.

2. When Beckon is successfully activated, the
aircraft will y toward you and hover in place
1.5 m above ground and 1.2 m away from
you.
3. The front LEDs will turn solid red.
PalmLand
Face toward to the camera and place your palm
approximately 0.5 m underneath the aircraft at a
distance of no further than 1.5 m away from you.
The aircraft will slowly descend and land on your
palm.

It is highly recommended to install the Spark Propeller Guards before using Gesture Mode to
ensure safety.
Gesture Control needs to be enabled in DJI GO 4 by tapping . The wave gesture is now
disabled by default while ying indoors or where the GPS signal is weak to ensure safety.
In PalmLaunch, the Aircraft Status Indicators will blink normally and will not display remote
signal loss, even without a mobile device or remote controller connected.
Use Gesture Mode in open areas.
Gesture Mode can only be used to take photos.
Enabling GPS on your mobile device will allow the aircraft to follow more accurately in Gesture Mode.
In Gesture mode, the aircraft will descend automatically if there is no subject detected or the
subject has been lost for more than one minute. Avoid using gesture control over water or
drastically uneven ground.
Drag a box around the subject in DJI GO 4 to restart tracking if the subject was lost and the
aircraft was unable to recognize the corresponding gesture.
Ensure the environment is suitable for the vision system to operate properly (e.g. light is
sucient and the ground is clearly patterned or textured) if using Gesture mode indoors.
