Infrared data exchange
Using infrared data exchange
Your FOMA terminal can exchange contacts
with another FOMA terminal or other terminal
that features the infrared data exchange
function.
Data in Contacts and MyProfile can be
exchanged.
When using infrared data exchange, make
sure that your terminal is not more than 20
cm away from the other terminal. Also, do
not move the terminals, with their infrared
data ports facing each other, until the
exchange of contacts is complete.
If the infrared data port has any dirt on it,
wipe it off with a soft cloth so as not to
damage the port. Damaging the port may
cause the infrared data exchange to fail.
Under the direct sunlight, below a
fluorescent light, or near infrared devices,
the terminal may not be able to
communicate normally because of their
effect.
Depending on the other FOMA terminal,
exchanging contacts may not be possible.
