2. Handling the FOMA terminal
WARNING
Don’t
Do not emit infrared light from the
infrared data port to eyes.
May affect the eyes.
Don’t
Do not point the infrared data
port to home electric appliances
with an infrared data port when
you make an infrared data
exchange.
Appliances may operate incorrectly,
causing an accident.
Don’t
Do not put any light emitting part
close to an eye and make it lit.
Doing so may cause vision disability.
Doing so may also cause dizziness
or astonishment that may lead to an
accident.
Don’t
Do not allow foreign substances
such as water and other liquids,
pieces of metal, or flammable
objects to get in the UIM or
microSD card slot inside the
FOMA terminal.
May cause fire, burns, injuries, or
electric shock.
Don’t
Do not point a light to the driver
of a vehicle.
May disturb driving, causing an
accident.
Do
Power off the FOMA terminal in a
place where the use is prohibited
such as in airplane or hospital.
Failure to do so may affect
electronic equipment and electronic
medical equipment. If you set the
automatic power-on function, cancel
it before powering off the FOMA
terminal.
Follow the instructions of each
medical facility for the use of mobile
phones on their premises.
Prohibited acts such as mobile
phone usage on board an airplane
may be punished by law.
Do
Always keep the FOMA terminal
away from your ear when you
make a handsfree call or when
ringtone is sounding.
Also, when connecting an
earphone/microphone, etc. to the
FOMA terminal to play games and
music, adjust the volume to an
appropriate level.
If the volume is too loud, it may
cause a hearing loss.
Moreover, if you barely hear the
surrounding sounds, it may cause an
accident.
Do
If you have a weak heart, set the
vibrator or ring volume carefully.
Failure to do so may affect your
heart.
